From February 9 to 13, 2026, Tashkent had the honor of hosting international committee members for the Winter Meeting - a key milestone in the preparations for the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026), which will be hosted by Uzbekistan for the first time.
Throughout the visit, experts conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the competition venue, technical infrastructure, accommodation facilities, and overall organizational readiness. The program included in-depth discussions on contest operations, problem preparation procedures, and mechanisms to ensure fairness, transparency, and the highest international standards.
The meeting also provided an important platform for aligning strategic plans, strengthening coordination between international and local teams, and refining operational details ahead of the event.
